Say what happened in your own words. The answers are below, the urgent ones first, and a person is at the bottom of the page.
Tell us straight away, from a borrowed phone if you have to. The sooner we know, the more we can do. There is more on the Security page.
Do not share it. Nobody from KRU will ask for your PIN or your password: not by call, text, WhatsApp or email. Tell us about the message so we can warn other people.
Contact us right away with the tag, the amount and the time. Payments land at once, so we cannot always pull one back, but the sooner you tell us the more we can do.
Write down the reference, the amount and the time, then contact us. The reference lets us find exactly that payment.
Check you are using the email or username on your KRU merchant account, then try again. Still stuck? Use the KRU app, or contact us and we will get you back in.
A mobile wallet and a till, for Jamaica. Keep a balance, send money to anyone by their KRU tag, split the bill, and pay by scanning a code. If you run a business, you collect by typing an amount and turning the screen to your customer. More on the personal side.
Nothing. No monthly fee and no minimum balance. What everything else costs is on the Fees page.
Top up from your bank in the app: tap Top up, choose your bank and the amount. Anybody on KRU can also send you money by your tag.
Open the app, tap Send, enter the person’s KRU tag and the amount, then confirm. Check the tag before you confirm.
1.5%, paid by whoever sends. The person receiving always gets the full amount.
The name people pay you by, like @marcia_b. No account numbers and no branch. Anyone on KRU can send you money with just the tag.
Tap Request, pick their tag, put in the amount and a note. It shows up in their app and they pay with one tap. You can see who has paid under Requests.
Tap Split, put in the total and pick who was there. Choose Even to share it equally, or Custom to set each share yourself. Everybody gets asked for their part. See it on a phone.
Yes. Put them in one list and pay them together, the same amount each or up to a budget you set. Each person gets their money by their tag.
Yes. Tap Phone credit, choose your own number or put in someone else’s, pick the amount and confirm. It comes out of your KRU balance and lands on the phone in seconds. to confirm
Yes, from your KRU balance: the light, the water and the phone. Save the account number once and it is there the next time.
Yes, at a KRU business that offers it. Ask at the counter: the business sends you a request for the amount, you approve it in the app, and they hand you the cash. If there is a fee, the app shows it before you agree.
You have reached your daily limit. It starts again the next day, and it goes up when you verify your ID in the app. How limits work.
In the app, open Your limit and tap Verify my ID. You take a photo of your ID and a quick selfie, and KRU checks them. Once you are verified, your daily limit goes up.
Join the waitlist. Someone from KRU will call you, check your business details and set up your till with you.
Sign in to your till on any phone or tablet, type the amount and tap Collect. Turn the screen to your customer. They scan the code with their KRU app, and the sale is done when your till shows the tick.
Codes last two minutes. One that has run out charges nothing. Tap Collect again and a fresh code appears for the same amount.
No. Your customer pays 1.5% on top of your price, so everything you charged lands in your balance. Charge J$1,000.00 and they pay J$1,015.00. Card payments are 2.9%. The whole list is on the Fees page.
No. Any phone or tablet with an internet connection is the till. Nothing to buy, nothing to rent.
If cash-out is switched on for your business, the request shows on your till with the amount and the fee. Hand over the cash and tap Confirm. KRU moves the money from the customer’s balance to yours: what you handed over, plus the fee.
Payouts run by themselves every morning at 9:00am, seven days a week. Each transfer is J$150.00, whatever the amount.
On the Fees page. Slide the calculator there to your own day and see what you keep.
A pot of money somebody fills and shares out in pieces: the same for everyone, or random amounts that add up to exactly what was put in. How Honeycombs work.
Open it in the KRU app: tap it in a chat, or scan its code. Your piece goes straight into your balance.
Whoever made it chose a random split. Every piece is different, and together they add up to exactly what was put in. Luck of the draw.
Yes. Tap Honeycomb, put money in the pot, say how many people and choose Even or Random. Share it as a code, or drop it in a chat.
A Honeycomb from a business. After you pay at the till, you may be offered a code to scan: open it to see what you won. Each business sets its own rules.

Put in whatever you have: the payment reference (it looks like KRU-1041-207000), the tag involved, the amount and the time. With a reference we can find the exact payment.
