KRU / SecurityOne payment

Quick to pay.
Hard to steal.

Twenty seconds. That is how long it took Marcia to pay J$2,070 for lunch at Fish Pot & Grill. This page follows those twenty seconds and points at what is protecting the money each time it moves.

One payment, start to finish

12:41:07

Andre keys in J$2,070 and taps Collect.

Two fish plates and a box juice. The amount comes off Andre’s till and nowhere else.

What protects itThe till sets the amount, fresh for this sale. There is no printed code taped to the counter for somebody to swap for their own.

12:41:08

A code appears, made for this sale only.

It carries one reference, one amount and a clock. When the clock runs out the code is dead: nothing can be paid against it, and a photo of it is worth nothing to anyone. The reference is how Andre, Marcia and KRU can all point at the same payment afterwards.

What protects itThe fee is added on top of the price, in plain sight. It is never folded into what Andre charged.

Andre's till shows the tick.

Paid from KRU wallet. J$2,070.00 is in his balance now, all of it.

Your part, if you run the tillTrust your own tick. A sale is paid when your till says so, not when a customer holds up their phone.

If the clock had run out first

Nothing is charged. Andre taps Collect again and a fresh code appears for the same amount.

If something goes wrong

Someone is asking for my PIN or my password.

It is not us. Nobody from KRU will ask for your PIN or your password: not by call, not by text, WhatsApp or email, and not to “verify” or “unlock” anything. Most fraud does not break the lock. It asks you for the key. Do not share it, and tell us about the message so we can warn other people.

I lost my phone.

Tell us straight away, from a borrowed phone if you have to. The sooner we know, the more we can do.

There is a payment I do not recognise.

Write down the reference, the amount and the time, then contact us. The reference lets us find exactly that payment.

My staff share one till.
